Rail Budget 2016: Plan size increased by Rs 21,000 cr


The Indian Rail Budget 2016 has fixed a plan size of Rs 1.21 lakh crore for FY2016-17, almost Rs 21,000 crore more than 2015-16, which it hopes to finance largely through extra-budgetary sources such as joint ventures with states, developing new frameworks for PPP etc. as little is expected from the Gross Budgetary Support (GBS).
